Last year I had a Navarre Beach wedding at sunrise. Usually this time a year it’s really not too bad on the beach at sunrise but last year it was really cold. I’m sure most of your asking how cold was it. So cold I had on a sweater and a coat and I was wearing shoes which I normally don’t wear shoes on the beach. But my heart went out to our bride. She had on a dress that you would normally wear in the summertime and a jacket over it. Her guest were all warm and wrapped up but bless her heart she wasn’t. We had the ceremony with her wearing her jacket that she was still very cold but it was bearable. After the ceremony the bride and groom wanted some robe antic pictures of just the two of them. So first we took the pictures of the other couples with them that had come to celebrate their moment. Then we did the romantic shots of just the two of them. While the photographer was taking her pictures I help the bride’s jacket so I could rush in and wrap her back up until the photographer was ready to take some more pictures. The other ladies and I stood close to her in a group hug formation so she wouldn’t get too cold. She had definitely appreciated that very much. We’re able to get all the shots that they wanted and everyone left the beach with smiles on their faces. I’m sure this is a day the bride and groom will never forget.

May is the month for beach weddings
There is a reason why the month of May is better for beach weddings in the springtime. While the number one reason is the weather is just absolutely perfect, and I mean perfect. It’s not too hot and it’s not too cool. It doesn’t rain a lot in May. But the big reason is that during spring time as most of you know there is spring break for schools and I’m talking everything from elementary schools to colleges. During these times most of the accommodations in the area regardless of where you go will be booked. And any accommodations that aren’t booked will only be available at full price. And this goes from late February into April. And then in May everybody goes home. It gets really quite around here with only locals going out to the beach. During this time you can find accommodations at a great price and if you’re clever and noticed that the place that you’re looking at is not booked but a little out of your budget you can make the owner an offer. Many people who have these condominiums and houses will consider an offer if it’s reasonable. There’s a lot fewer people on the beaches which really makes for great wedding for you. There aren’t really any festivals going on at that time except in Gulf Shores around the middle of the month there’s of music festival.

Many couples choose to do this rather than deal with a large wedding. There are many reasons to do that and here are a couple. One that I hear a lot from brides and grooms is that there were some family issues that could not be resolved. The majority of those were people who could not make the wedding and were upset that the couple would not reschedule for them. Yes you would be really surprised. Another common problem that a lot of brides tell me about is someone it actually hijacked their wedding an it was becoming more about them and less about the bride. That’s a big one and the one I hear the most from couples who were coming to the area to elope. But fear not gentle readers, everything’s gonna be just fine. So make plans to get here in the next few days and let us help you say I love you in the sand.

We had so many wonderful beach weddings in Pensacola this year that it really made me feel positive about our couples and their future. With the wedding year coming to a close alike to sit back and look at the pictures and reflect on our ceremonies. Most of the time it was sunny and beautiful and we got some incredible photography. Here at Beach Bride Weddings LLC we are troopers and persevered while weathering the storms. Most of them were just really mist but sometime that mist can be heavy. Damp would be an understatement. But out of the entire time we’ve been in business which is about 15 years, we’ve only been rained out about four times. We have done weddings in tropical storms before where we had to go into a safer area but I would never let a bride down. Rain or shine it’s your wedding time. We still have a few more days before the end of the year so in any of you are interested we are due making deals right now for these end of the year weddings.
Stayed tuned for new beach weddings arch designs
In the coming weeks we will begin leading up our new wedding arch designs for beach weddings in 2015 on Pensacola Beach in Florida and Gulf Shores in Alabama. Every year we observed the trends that are happening in wedding design and colors that are trending with brides. And trust me every year it changes. Destination weddings have become very big in this area with brides wanting the latest fashions for their bridal designs. Burlap is still popular and we’re seeing trends and yellow and turquoise. Hand tide bouquets are still very popular as they have been for the last few years. This is a trend that I don’t see going away anytime soon. The reason why this trend is so popular is in order to pull off a bouquet that has cascading flowers you have to be really talk. The hand tide bouquets fit everyone whether you’re tall or short, thin or heavier, this bouquet will work for you. Another trend of noticed less structured wedding gowns. The Lewis flowing down has become the mainstay for beach weddings. Yor more structured downs do not work well while walking sand. I’m very excited about the new looks in arch design and have incorporated them into brides requesting unique arches. We can customize some of our designs to fit the bride’s needs.
