Our bride and groom had decided to get married in Orange Beach Alabama. Everything was all set, we had the arch ready that they had picked out and I was watching the weather channel like I always do. I had been watching it for a few days. I was concerned about a tropical storm that was forming in the Gulf of Mexico. When I called our bride and groom I tell them of my concern for their beach wedding. They assured me that regardless of what happened they wanted to get married that afternoon. I called my photographer and informed him of the bride and groom’s wishes. He said I’m ready if you are. As I continue to watch the progression of the tropical storm that afternoon I called our happy couple and inform them that we would not be able to have the ceremony on the beach as we had planned. Fortunately for us the bride and groom are staying in a condominium that had a clubhouse and we were able to use it. I remember unloading the wedding arch and thinking the wind was really picking up. Most of the guests started arriving and the rain started. Fortunately the bride had already arrived and was in the back room getting ready with the bridesmaids. We got everything setup and had a lovely ceremony in the clubhouse. By that time the tropical storm was in full force. As we started loading the truck I almost got blown over by a large gust of wind. We were finally able to get all of equipment loaded and the photographer and I were drenched. We made it over the bridges before the authorities closed them and thanked our lucky stars we came home that only wet clothes them.

If you’re thinking about a Pensacola Beach wedding and want the island feel may I suggest that you also dress the part. This happened recently at a wedding where the groom had ordered shirts and dresses for himself, his brother, and the bride’s daughter. I was really impressed of these shirts. They were perfect for weddings on the beach. When I asked where he got them from he told me. I went to google and typed in aloha outlet. The first web site that came up was where he bought the shirts. There were so many Hawaiian print shirts and dresses it was amazing and they were really pretty. If you want to do something completely different for a wedding gown I would highly advise you to try one of these beautiful dresses. They had short, medium, and long dresses. They even had children’s clients. The shirts were good quality and there were so many to choose from. At every size I could think of. I really love the look on the beach, the groom wore the Monstera Lei / Purple and his brother was his best man and he wore the Monstera Lei / Blue. The bride’s daughter warrant arrest that matched the best man’s shirt. Our bride wore white and looked beautiful. But the stresses can be worn as wedding gowns also. There really was a lot to choose from for beach weddings. So if you’re wanting to do something different and not go with a traditional wedding gown I would highly recommend going with this company. You can also find really great mens shirts. I saw all white shirt for a man that would look good with a white print on it. I really like them light on why it looks nice on the beach.

To Drink Or Not At Weddings
Have you ever been to a beach wedding in Florida and the adults are enjoying alcoholic beverages? There’s always the toast to the bride and groom, speeches by the best man with more toasts. This nothing wrong with providing alcohol to your adult guests at your beach wedding if you lay out a few ground rules before hand. I know this is the subject some of you don’t want to discuss but it’s very important for you to make these decisions now. As a wedding planner I’ve seen weddings where people behave themselves and drink responsibly. I have also seen intoxicated people behaving badly. And believe me a wedding celebration go terribly wrong quickly. You don’t want that to disrupt the proceedings. One way to avert a catastrophe is to establish a code of conduct for your ceremony. You can even be included in your wedding invitation. Informed your guests to come and enjoy themselves but too do so in a dignified manner. In this day and age of driving under the influence and the responsibility of the person serving alcohol it is advisable to hire a professional bartender to serve everyone who is drinking alcohol. Inform the bartender not to serve anyone who has had too much to drink. You want everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves and wish you well. You don’t want a person who has had too much to drink stumbling around and disrupting your guests. It really makes sense in the long run for everyone concerned.
Halos For Beach Wedding Angels
Have you ever been to a beach waiting in Gulf Shores and seen angels running around the beach? With their little halos and fluffy dresses they look like they fell right off a cloud. Both big girls and little girls like halos. Recently I had a wedding where the bride wore a halo which she made herself. The one that she had chosen matched her color theme which was yellow. She used both bright yellow in pale yellow with some greenery and it really looked beautiful. These pretty hair accessories look great on the beach. If you’re thinking about having a child wear one don’t go all white. Mix in some color to brighten up the white. Pink would look great and you can use any shade of pink that you like with the white for your beach landing. For older girls you can do just about anything. I’ve even seen some halos with ribbons hanging from them. This look can be taken home and used for dress up. Halos for brides can be all white went little stars to glisten in the sun. I’ve even seen some with tiny starfishes. You can look just like a mermaid with one of those. I love this versatile look for a more natural take on the veil. Must halos are made with silk flowers and there’s a reason for this. For your ceremony on the sand real flowers for something so small and intricate can be very expensive. It’s not really the flowers that are pricey it’s all the work that has to go into the halo. So go for silk instead. Then you to can have angels at your wedding.

Chairs For The Wedding
And Alabama Beach wedding in beautiful Gulf Shores can be an event to remember for a lifetime. And I’m sure some of you are thinking about chairs. So let’s talk about that. Most of the time I tell everyone just get enough for the people who actually need them. Maybe 10 or 15 at the most. I’m sure some of you are asking why? Why so few? The reality is to not gonna be using them that long. You’re not gonna be sitting in these chairs for more than 15 minutes. No one is going to make people sit for 30 minutes in the hot sun waiting for the bride to arrive. That’s crazy. Most people are gonna get their 10 minutes prior to the ceremony, which means the bride arriving so they don’t have to wait in the hot sun. Most people won’t sit down until the bride does arrive. And since most wedding ceremonies are only about 12 minutes, you’re gonna be paying for chairs for 12 minutes. Then everybody gets up and starts mingling. So rather than have a bunch of unnecessary chairs that your beach wedding why not just get enough for older people, pregnant people, or people who are infirm or unsteady on their feet? Doesn’t that make more sense? At one time I used to provide chairs. Less than 1/4 people actually use them. So I quit providing chairs and started listing chair vendors if brides need them. It just makes more sense.
Bringing Dad To The Wedding
Recently I had a beach wedding in Pensacola at 1100 Ariola which is a great house for a wedding and the bride and groom wore a wonderful couple. The bride’s father had passed away but she wanted to include him in the ceremony. So she brought a chair he sat in and put his picture on it. The chair was made of wood and it was a folding chair. I would guess he probably used it when he was outside. There was a sign in the chair that said, we knew you would be here today if heaven wasn’t so far away. It was very touching to see a bride who was still so attached to her father that couldn’t be here. The chair stood beside our happy couple during the ceremony. I imagined what it would be like to be sitting in that chair watching your daughter getting married to the man of her dreams on the beach. Sitting there with the sun setting over the Gulf of Mexico with the ways gently lapping on the sand. It would have to be one of the best moments of one’s life. During the ceremony I would glance at the chair occasionally. I’m sure he was looking down on us with a smile on his face. After the ceremony we took photos of every one. After we were through with the majority of the photos we went and got the picture of her father and had the bride hold it to get a good photo for her to remember. The groom also posed in some of those photos. It was a very sentimental wedding with a lot of love and happiness. Those are some of my favorite weddings.
Haloes For The Bride And Flowergirl
This Pensacola Beach wedding had angels of the beach. I know many of you were thinking what are you talking about? I’m talking about our bride and flower girl having haloes on their heads for their ceremony in the sand. It was so adorable. The bride had called me a few weeks earlier telling me about the cost of the haloes. And fresh flowers made into a design to be put on your head can get quite expensive. I suggested silk flowers. One thing I like about silk flowers is the last forever, while almost forever. And her daughter could have her halo to enjoy for quite awhile. Our bride really get a good job making them. I was very impressed with what she had put together. Her theme of her wedding was yellow. So she incorporated tiny yellow and white flowers into her haloes, with some greenery. She had asked me to put yellow flowers into the Islands at Sunset arch. I wait with a pale yellow flower which complemented her haloes. Form her rose petal path I took pale yellow and bright yellow petals which complemented the arch and softened the bright yellow color. The groom wore a white button down shirt and white linen shorts which looked very beachy. The bridesmaid had on a bright yellow dress as did the mother of the bride. It was a bright sunny wedding. I also love to bouquets that had blue orchids which was a nice contrast to the yellow. I felt like the sun was shining on this very beachy wedding.
Airplane Flies Over Beach Wedding
Is that beach wedding in Pensacola flying over your head? If you’re an aviation buff this next post is for you. While out on the beach yesterday doing a wedding, an airplane flew by with a wedding proposal on it. This reminded me of a wedding I did on the beach. The bride and groom were of aviation buffs. If it had something to do with the airplane or a jet this couple loved it. Too surprised the bride the groom had rented a plane to fly over the wedding while the ceremony was going on. He told me we ended the plane should be flying overhead. Like most things the pilot was missing in action at the appropriate time. This had the groom very frustrated to say the least. Of course the bride knew nothing about this. She kept wondering why we’re all still there after the ceremony. The photographer was waiting kid to get his shot of the fly over went from their wedding date on it. As we waited for the pilot to find us on the beach, I called the Airport to ask where he was. The Airport could not tell me. So I made small talk and placed them in some extra poses to pass the time. The photographer kept taking pictures and finally when we thought we could stall any more the plane is seen in the distance. I asked everyone to look up. When the bride saw her wedding date with their initials on the fly over she was overjoyed. The photographer got a shot of the bride and groom with the plane as it passed by.
