Are You Getting Married On The Beach In Alabama?

And yet another Mardi Gras inspired Gulf Shores wedding. This time the gown was more traditional however the bride put her own twist on the classic white. She had taken more to Gras beads and wrap them around the waist of the dress. How clever is that? Our bride and groom had come down from Arkansas to get married in Gulf Shores on the beach. When they found out about the parades they insisted on coming down and sharing in the excitement. Both the bride and groom caught a lot of beads and wanted to figure out a way to incorporate them into their wedding. All of the bridesmaids in grooms men wore Mardi Gras beads. And although it was a bit cool on the beach are bride and groom toughed it out and went barefoot. That’s ride their foot on the beach during wedding in February and its cold. But they said this was nothing compared to what their accustomed to so I really had to congratulate them. After the ceremony everyone headed back to the house for some cake and goodies. Her uncle was making jambalaya on the deck under the house. Of course since it was a little chilly cocktails were sure to warm everyone up. The view from the back of the house overlooked the Gulf of Mexico and really added to the festivities. As we were leaving the bride and groom were toasting and everyone wishing them well.

Mardi Gras And Wedding In The Sand

We had some lovely Pensacola Beach weddings during Mardi Gras. One of the bride’s had a particularly nice gown which had the colors green, purple and gold. She was from New Orleans and had the spirit of Mardi Gras. Her gown had small fleur de lis embroidered over the white fabric. It was really beautiful. Her tiara also had the colors of Mardi Gras in it, and her veil was a beautiful gold color. The bridesmaids wore lavender gowns with the grooms men having matching vests. We don’t usually draw a crowd when we have weddings on the beach but this particular wedding had a lot of admirers. As we began the ceremony some of the ladies in the crowd opened up their umbrellas which were decorated with beads they had caught from parades in New Orleans. People on the beach all got up and watched as our bride walk down to is on the yellow rose petal pathway. We also decorated the wedding arch with Mardi Gras beads. After the ceremony everyone that could see us clapped their hands and cheered. We got the plenty of great pictures to say the least. After we got all of our family portraits and pictures of friends we let everybody go and took pictures of the bride and groom and romantic poses. Up against the water and their colorful clothing they really stood out against the turquoise colored water and the whites sand.

Are You Getting Married In Gulf Shores For Valentines Day?

Last year I had a bride who wanted a Gulf Shores beach wedding on Valentine’s Day.  Her heart was set on it, with a vision of a white gown trimmed in red hearts.  And a red rose bouquet.  That would look so pretty on the beach.  So the day arrived for the bride and groom to get married on the beach in Gulf Shores.  The wedding was going very smoothly.  All the bridesmaids came down the aisle including a thirteen year old young lady who seemed terrified.  While the ceremony was going on I noticed her started to sway.  I had talked to my photographer before the wedding to keep an eye on her.  My concern was this Gulf Shores wedding could get interrupted by a teenager passing out.  She was so pale.  The end of the ceremony was rapidly approaching and I could tell at any minute she was going down.  As I told the groom he may kiss the bride I quickly stepped to her side and her grandmother and I caught her and laid her gently on the sand.  No one seemed to notice as they were all caught up in the moment.  She recovered very quickly and was able to participate in pictures.  Grandmother saved the day.  Hooray.
