Privacy And Your Wedding On The Beach

The thought of a beach wedding can bring joy to many happy couples. The idea of walking across the sand to the person you been waiting for your entire life can be a dream come true for many. One thing to consider is how many people may be present during your ceremony at your cheap Florida beach wedding package. A good way to cut down on the amount of people present during your ceremony is to have a lot of open beach around. And what I mean by that is: no buildings in the background. For your beach wedding many of you think, is that really be possible? Well gentle bride and groom it can be quite possible. One place that offers a lot of open beach is Pensacola Beach. There are places where we can take you to have your ceremony where there will not be a lot of people around because there are no buildings around. And of course having your wedding at sunset is important to having no people around. Remember that most people are gonna be at the beach during the daylight hours. At sunset most people are getting showers and going to restaurants to have something to eat. That lease fewer people on the beach during your ceremony. During peak months, which are April, May, June, July, August, September and October we will not ever do more than one wedding a day.  As of this writing we are only doing 1 wedding a day from now on. The reason? There are a lot of people on the beach during this months during the day. Now in Gulf Shores Alabama there is a stretch of beach where it’s mostly houses and smaller condominiums. That means no high rise condominiums. This also makes for a great way to have fewer people at your ceremony. By following these few simple rules you’ll be able to have a wonderful wedding on the beach with quite a bit of privacy. Hoping to see you all on the beach very soon.

Beach Wedding Invitations

The date has been set for your Gulf Shores beach wedding. Now you are wondering about wedding invitations and rightly so. How soon you should send those invitations? Since this is going to be a destination wedding for you and your guest you may want to consider sending them out as soon as possible. Remember that your guests is going to have to get accommodations, time off from the job or school, save the money to be able to go to your wedding. I know you see there are a lot of decisions to be made not only by yourself but by the people you want to attend your beach nuptials. About 2/3 people you invite will be able to attend your wedding and that is a very realistic number. That guest number really quite common for a destination wedding. Beach wedding accommodations can be expensive particularly in the summer when prime real estate rentals sky rocket. The fun part of making your wedding invitations is getting the bridesmaids and maid of honor together and coming up with some clever ideas for your invitations there are so many to chose from including designing your own invitations. Last minute weddings have encouraged brides to invite whoever can make it via e-mail and this works well. Although some of you may think this not very personal, it can be hard to get invitations to people when you only have two weeks before your wedding date. Go online and find interesting invitations to send to your friends and family. There are even programs for your computer where you can print your own and really personalize them. With so many choices you will find the perfect one that fits your personality. Think beach! Contact us if you need suggestions.

Another Beautiful Bride Walks To Her Dream

This bride wanted a beach wedding in Pensacola and we gave her a beautiful one, the ceremony that is. She had chosen the Island Beach package for her beach wedding which has become very popular with brides and grooms. Her colors were orange and we had some orange tiger lilies that looked beautiful on the bamboo wedding arch. With the white chiffon the orange flowers really popped. Our beautiful bride was wearing a gown by Davids Bridal and was designed for destination weddings. Yes they have great dresses and gowns just for certain types of weddings. Weddings are not cookie cutter affairs and neither is wedding apparel. It was a flowing A line dress with a sheer neckline covered with embroidery so very romantic in style. The dress flowed so well and was very easy to move in. She looked so comfortable in this dress and how many times have you seen a bride in an uncomfortable dress. We tell everyone to try on their dresses and think about the weight when walking through the sand. Our wonderful groom got stuck in traffic and arrived late, usually it is the bride who is late by this time it was the groom. However we still had plenty of time to have that beautiful wedding on the beach with a lovely sunset. Our bride and groom jumped the broom after saying their vows to the delight of the family and friends. Their wonderful families were also present to celebrate in the joy. It rained a earlier that day which means good luck on their wedding day. And because of the rain the temperatures were very comfortable as the day had been quite warm and that can be very sticky when wearing dress clothes, ask any bride and groom who had a destination wedding. Everything really went exactly the way it should have and are bride and groom could not have been happier. This was a lovely couple and I had a wonderful time helping them with their ceremony in the sand. Best job in the world.

Wedding On The Beach In January

Through the years we have done quite a few beach weddings in Gulf Shores. Few occur on January 1st. Some weddings have been a little on the cool side and sometimes a little on the warm side. But one that stands out in my mind was the wedding we had one January 1 that was very cold. On the Gulf Coast even when inland temperature are cold the beach will always be warmer. This is because of the Gulf of Mexico being a warmer body of water. It also bring hurricanes because of the warm water. The bride and groom are meeting us at the wedding site. When we arrived before everyone else we were surprised to find a pickup truck stuck in the sand at the edge of the Gulf. Talk about big surprise. You could tell the water had been all around the truck and it was going to be damaged. Seems like someone had a little bit too much fun on New Years Eve. However this beach wedding was gonna take place regardless of obstructions. We moved our site a few more feet away. Our bride and groom arrived and got a giggle at the truck. The bride was wearing and ivory lace dress that had tank style straps. She had on a small fluffy coat to keep her warm. I had on a sweater, slacks and a coat because it was that cold. She insisted on getting married in her dress without her coat for pictures. The ceremony went quickly because I was truly concerned about the bride. After the ceremony was over I immediately only took my coat and gave it to her to stay warm. My coat was made of wool and very warm. We did pictures afterwards with wedding guests. I would take my coat, step over to the side, led the photographer get the picture, and step back in and put .the coat back on her. This way everyone stayed as warm as possible for their ceremony on the sand. Afterwards the bride and groom insisted on posing by the truck for a comical photo. Very funny photo it turned out to be. Funny memory.

Best Man At A Beach Wedding

Lucky you, you are the best man at a cheap Pensacola Beach wedding! And with that responsibility there are certain duties that you are required to do. Yes my friend you are not just gonna stand up there and look cool in your khaki slacks and white button down shirt with bare feet. Did you know that you are responsible for the bachelor party? And since you are gonna be in Florida why not go deep sea fishing? That way you do not get in trouble. Let us say the groom needs a little bit of help in the attire department. If he is wearing the same thing you are wearing you will be fine but kick it up a notch for him. Help him find a nicer shirt than the ones you and the men will be wearing, a white on white print would be ideal. Remember that you are going to be in a wedding on the beach so dress accordingly. One important thing that you will be doing at this wedding is taking care of the rings. Make sure before you leave to come to the wedding that you have the rings in your possession or there will be a disaster on epic proportions. You do not want to get down to the beach and see the bride walking over to you only to realize you do not have the rings oh horrors. It has happened before and you will be the blame so do not be that man or the bride will remember you as the person who ruined her wedding and it could lead to further implications like never going to holiday parties. So prepare best man! Make sure to get all the other grooms men to the beach on time. So that at the end of the ceremony in the sand, when everyone goes to the reception, not only will they be thinking about the happy couple, but what it great best man you were. The bride and groom parents will thank you.

August Weddings On The Beach

Are you wanting a beach wedding in Destin Florida? Well I have got some great news for you. As most of you know our children start going back to school in August. In some areas of the United States it is September. Do not forget a Pensacola wedding on the beach. And what that means to brides and grooms is there will not be a lot of people on the beach on your wedding day. I think that is what anyone would want. So much more stress free ceremony. That is the biggest question we get asked, how do we avoid people on the beach during our ceremony. Most kids are going back to school around the 15th of August. So families are not really looking into having vacations right before this happens because they need to get school supplies and scholl clothes so there is not gonna be a lot of money available to go on vacation. This works out fantastic for beach weddings in Florida. That means there is going be more places to stay for you to choose from with reduced rates. That is the beauty of waiting until off season. Still warm enough to get in the Gulf of Mexico and float around. If you go to our wedding resources page you will find websites that we recommend for you to find accommodations. In some cases you may notice some condominiums dropping their prices after August 15th. Do not forget to check out Airbnb that is a great website for finding affordable lodging. Wow what a bargain! That means more money in your pocket to do other things while you are here. Be careful when looking at any lodging website. Contact us so we can look at your choices and assist you. We know some tricks to find that perfect place to stay. So there are advantages to waiting until after August 15. Nothing like having a little more privacy to stroll down the beach hand in hand with the one you love most. Romance starts with love on the beach.

Beautiful Bouquets For Weddings On The Beach

When you think about a beach wedding in Pensacola many of you may wonder about bouquets and what type of flowers look good for these kind of weddings? Keep in mind that you are going be on the beach and this environment can be a little hazardous for some types of flowers, especially the more delicate varieties. Your flowers that like the heat such as roses and lilies do very well on the beach. However there have been several new variations in the bridal bouquets that we’re all accustomed to. We are seeing more silk flowers, which now look exactly like a real flowers. Silk flowers hold up so well in the heat and wind, while keeping the prices down that you would normally paid for live flowers. We’ve also been seeing a lot of burlap floral bouquets which have a very natural look for a wedding on the beach. And another really unusual item that we have seen recently is a bouquet made from wood. If you go on google and type in wood flower bouquet you are going be amazed at what you’re going to see. One great thing about these type of flowers is that they will be with you for a long time and can be displayed anywhere in your home or saved until your anniversary and brought out again to remember the moment when you said I do. I was really surprised when I first saw all wood bouquet, I thought it was the real thing. I hope more of you look into different forms of flowers to complement your day in the sun.

Guests Responsibilities At A Wedding

As a guest to a Gulf Shores beach wedding some of you may assume that you just show up and have a good time. While this is very true and you will have a good time while you were here, there are certain rules that you must abide by in order to ensure the bride and groom’s happiness. One of the first things to remember is do everything you can to be a courteous guest. Do everything you can to help the bride and groom and be on your best behavior. Many of you are probably wondering what to wear to a beach wedding. For men I would suggest khaki slacks and a button down shirt of some kind. If you don’t like khakis then some other form of slacks. Make sure the fabric is lightweight. For women I would suggest a lightweight flowing dress or shirt and slacks. Unless otherwise stated by the bride and groom do not wear jeans. You will get hot. I would also suggest refraining from drinking until the reception begins where you can toast a bride and groom. Alcohol and the sun do not mix well and you can become very sick. If you are bringing your children with you keep a close eye on them as you will be close to the water and children can get fascinated with it quite easily. Do not bring pets unless instructed by the bride and groom. So with the happy couple getting married on the beach, come and wish them wish them well and only leave your footprints and images in your camera.

Beach Weddings With The Pets

Some of you will be planning a beach wedding in Florida or Alabama and you are debating on whether to bring your dog. We have some experience with the animals in weddings. And while you may think you have a very well behaved dog when you put the same dog in an unfamiliar environment be prepared for the unexpected. One beach wedding that we had was In Navarre and the couple wanted their Labrador retriever to be a bridesmaid. She was all decked out in a multi-color Hawaiian lei and looked adorable. As she started down the aisle with the bride she proceeded to drag the bride straight into the Gulf of Mexico. Oh darn! A another couple who had an Orange Beach wedding had a border collie. This couple wanted their dog to be the ring bearer. A very smart dog in most cases however border collies like to herd other animals including birds. As this dog was being escorted down the aisle by a sweet little flower girl the dog suddenly broke away from her and proceeded down the beach at full speed chasing birds. We all gave chase and eventually caught our wayward ring bearer and brought her back to her position in the bridal lineup. The rings were still intact on the pillow on her back. So before you bring your dog into your wedding there is a lot to think about.

A Family United In Love

When you have two families with five children and a wedding on Pensacola Beach you get one happy family. This family was so happy to be together it was amazing. All the children got along so well. We had three boys that were the groom’s children, all tall like dad. Are bride had her son and daughter there and they looked a lot like mom. They were originally staying in Perdido Key but wanted to have their wedding at a different beach as they had been exploring the area and burr ready for something new. So we took their beach wedding and brought it over to Pensacola Beach. The water was really pretty that day with the turquoise blue colors moving throughout the water. It was quite a long ride from Perdido Key and but all are courageous family endured it very nicely. The bride had her son walked her down the aisle while we all waited together on the beach for her to make her entrance. The weather couldn’t have been better. The sun was gently setting in the west providing us with beautiful color changes in the sky. The wedding on the sand was so blessed and so much love within this family. Afterwards are family was asking us where to go to get something to keep? We recommended Peg Leg Pete’s and McGuire’s Irish Pub. Two very unique places in completely different from each other get family friendly. I hope they had a wonderful time.
