We had some lovely Pensacola Beach weddings during Mardi Gras. One of the bride’s had a particularly nice gown which had the colors green, purple and gold. She was from New Orleans and had the spirit of Mardi Gras. Her gown had small fleur de lis embroidered over the white fabric. It was really beautiful. Her tiara also had the colors of Mardi Gras in it, and her veil was a beautiful gold color. The bridesmaids wore lavender gowns with the grooms men having matching vests. We don’t usually draw a crowd when we have weddings on the beach but this particular wedding had a lot of admirers. As we began the ceremony some of the ladies in the crowd opened up their umbrellas which were decorated with beads they had caught from parades in New Orleans. People on the beach all got up and watched as our bride walk down to is on the yellow rose petal pathway. We also decorated the wedding arch with Mardi Gras beads. After the ceremony everyone that could see us clapped their hands and cheered. We got the plenty of great pictures to say the least. After we got all of our family portraits and pictures of friends we let everybody go and took pictures of the bride and groom and romantic poses. Up against the water and their colorful clothing they really stood out against the turquoise colored water and the whites sand.
